It easily transfers from your Valentine to your hands, clothes, shoes, hair, furniture, and more. If you have ever had glitter in your hair you know how hard it can be to get it out. You will want to try thoroughly washing your hair in the bath or shower. If that does not get rid of all of it grab some hairspray and a paper towel. Apply hairspray to the paper towel and then dab the glitter with it. The glitter will stick to the hairspray and get out of your hair.
 
Removing Glitter from Tile Floor & Other Hard Surfaces
Any glitter used on craft projects is bound to fall off at least a little bit and end up on your counters, tables and hard floors such as tile or hardwood underneath. Once glitter is on your tables, floors, desks, or counters you may have a hard time getting it to come off. First try to wipe it off with a paper towel. If there is still some on the surface get a damp sponge. Wipe the glitter off with the damp sponge and then rinse out the sponge immediately in your sink. Repeat this process as many times as needed to get all of the glitter off of the hard surface.
How to Clean Glitter from Upholstered Furniture
There are a variety of methods that you can try to get glitter off of your upholstered furniture. First you will want to get your vacuum out. Use your vacuum attachments to slowly and methodically vacuum the affected area. Inevitably there will still be some glitter on your furniture. Take a lint roller to the area to get rid of whatever is left.
How to Remove Glitter Spills on Carpet
When you get glitter on your floor you will want to take care of it immediately. Once it is on your floor it will easily get tracked throughout your entire home as you and your family walk around your home. Try the methods mentioned above for upholstered furniture. If there is still some glitter on your carpet get a wet paper towel and lightly dab the area. The wet paper towel should draw the glitter out.
