Direct Carpet Cleaners Outline How to Clean & Remove Some Common Halloween Carpet Stains

How Do You Get Gum & Sticky Candy Out of Carpet. A method to remove gum that is quite effective is ice in a Ziploc bag. After you have placed some ice in a bag, you can set it right in top of the gum. This will make it hard which in turn makes it easier to remove. Use a butter knife or any scraping tool and start scraping the gum off. Once you have removed as much of the gum as possible you can apply a cleaning solution like 409. Cover the stain with a clean cloth to soak up any leftover solution and repeat till the spot is dry.
How to Get Chocolate Out of Carpet. Use a butter knife to lift off as much of the chocolate and then vacuum to remove any flakes from the carpet. Then take a few pieces of paper towel and cover the area. Take an iron set on the lowest setting and place it directly in top of the stain and move it around a little to get the stain to stick to the paper towel. Repeat these steps till the chocolate is gone. If there is still a spot left you can take a cleaning solution along with a clean cloth to clean the rest. Remember to blot and don’t rub.
How to Get Red Soda Stains Out of Carpet. The first thing you should do is blot the stain as much as possible. Use plain water or you can try a tablespoon of liquid hand washing soap mixed with a tablespoon of white vinegar mixed with two cups of warm water. Take a clean white cloth or sponge and apply a little at a time and blot until the stain is no longer visible. The last step is to use cold water and blot until it’s dry.

More Tips on How to Get Candy Out of Carpet

Do not pull stuck on candy from your carpet forcefully as this can damage the carpet fibers and even rip them out. Scraping off as much of the candy will make the rest of the stain removal easier. Hard candies are sugar-based and will dissolve with water so apply warm water to loosen it. Different candies contain different dyes and may need different methods. White vinegar and a clean cloth can be effective. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow it to break up the candy and gently apply some pressure to lift the stain. This can be repeated till the stain is no longer visible and then rinse with warm water and blot with a clean cloth to remove as much moisture as possible. Always use cloths that have been washed before. If you don’t, there might be loose dyes that will cause color to be added to the stain — and your carpet!
